Preeceville

Preeceville is a town located in East-Central Saskatchewan, approximately 105 km north of Yorkton, SK. The name derives from the Preece family, who built their homestead on what is now the town site. Prior to that, the area was a part of the trails that First Nations and fur traders used to navigate the region.

Today, the town remains small but consistent, as families enjoy raising their own in the simple, sunny Saskatchewan atmosphere. The strong family ties in Preeceville lend to the loyal business core, large volunteer base and friendly residents. The community itself is located in a central location to some great fishing, hunting and snowmobiling areas of the province. The Mushers' Rendezvous, a famous, world class, six and ten dog sled race takes place every February in Preeceville.

Residents also enjoy the benefits of a health care facility, home care, senior care, nursery school, a K-12 school, an ability bus & van service, RCMP, volunteer fire services, ambulance, a library and community rink.
