Foam Lake

An English fur trader founded the town of Foam Lake in 1882. The name is derived from the nearby lake, which provided an assortment of wildlife for hunting and trapping. Ukrainian, Icelandic and other European nationalities began to settle. Cultural celebrations have been held every year since. In addition, the soil near the town has proven to be good for farming, evident in the mixed crops as you drive by.

Foam lake provides both an elementary and high school for children, and the Quill Lakes International Bird Area to the Northwest of the town attracts Bird Watchers from the world over. It's a great community to grow up in!
